Preschool and NILD Program Overview:

Lion Cubs Preschool:

We are looking forward to partnering with your family in the formation of a strong, Christ-centered education for your child!  The Lion Cubs Preschool will combine academic, readiness, and developmental skills to prepare children for kindergarten.
We are seeking families that see their children as God’s most precious gifts. At Berks Christian School, that is how we have viewed children for 30 years!  Now, more than ever, families need support to lay a solid foundation based on God’s word!
Please spread this exciting news!

Pre-school will be for two age groups.  Four-year-olds will meet 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday) and tuition will be $100.00 per month.  Three-year-olds will meet 2 days a week (Tuesday and Thursday) and tuition will be $90.00 per month.  Uniforms will not be required in the pre-school. Hours for both groups will be 9:00 to 11:30.  Care from 8:00 to 9:00 available. Inquire at the office for cost.

Pre-school open house will be held with the regular open house on March 8th & March 13th.

NILD Program:

At Berks Christian School, we view all students as unique individuals designed by God. We created our Discovery Center to serve students with exceptional needs that require supplemental services and accommodations in the classroom
The Discovery Center serves to partner with parents and
teachers to help meet the needs of these students. We also
help implement instructional and testing accommodations in the regular classroom.

We use the methods designed by The National Institute for Learning Development (NILD). This is individualized educational therapy, which allows BCS to make Christian education possible for students with learning disabilities. These children have an average to superior intelligence, but struggle in the regular classroom due to many reasons such as: perception, processing speed, working memory, and fluency. The goal of NILD is to move the student toward independence and success in the regular classroom, and also to realize his/her God
given abilities.

Therapy consists of either two 80-minute sessions, or four 45-minute sessions. Enrollment is an annual agreement and average enrollment in the program is 3-5 years. For middle school and high school students, we attempt to do therapy during their study hall periods, so they are not missing core subjects while doing therapy.
