Kids' Activities

Student Council has planned a fun-packed day for kids who attend Homecoming this year!

Athletic Events

Volleyball starts at 12:30. Middle School and Varsity will both play Coventry Christian, and the Alumni game will follow.

Third Annual Quarter Auction

So, how does a Quarter Auction work?

1. Each player purchases a numbered paddle with which to bid on items during the auction.

2. Players also need quarters. (Cash can be exchanged for quarters at the event.)

3. When the event begins, all players are seated at tables, each of which has a basket in the middle of the table.

4. As each item is introduced by the auctioneer, the “price” (1, 2, 3, or 4 quarters) will also be announced.

5. If the item is something you’d like, toss the appropriate amount of quarters into the basket on your table, and hold your paddle up to indicate your bid.

6. A number will be drawn, and the person holding the corresponding paddle will win the item (assuming they have bid on the item).

7. More than one paddle can be purchased. If you’d like to use two paddles to bid on one item, you need to “pay” for the item twice.

Just a few of the exciting items up for auction:
- Disney tickets
- Unique "Teacher Experiences" including a Christmastime day in Philadelphia with Miss Klase, Mini Golf and Ice Cream with Miss Kline, and Baking with Mrs Conrad
- Class baskets
- Tons of gift cards from local shops and venues
Watch for a full list of auction items coming soon!

Activities for Kids

Win a fish, vote for a teacher to get a pie in the face, create customized sand art, paint a pumpkin, or get your own face painted. There's fun for everyone in the kids' activities starting at 12:00. Supervised playtime will be available from 9:30 - 12:00 so that parents who want to participate in the Quarter Auction can do so while their kids enjoy outdoor activities.

Athletic Events

Our undefeated Middle School Lady Lions take on Coventry Christian in volleyball at 12:30. Following their game, the Varsity Lady Lions tackle Coventry Christian at 1:30. Alumni and Staff face off against each other at 3:00. Enjoy lunch while you enjoy the games!

Donut Tour with Mr Smither - 3 students - Do you have what it takes (no shame, an empty stomach, an irrational affinity to fried dough, etc) to down three elaborate donuts in one morning? First, we'll stop at Sugar on Top in downtown Lancaster for a topping-encrusted, sugar rush delight. Afterwards, we'll waddle next door to Prince Street Cafe for a tea or coffee: you're gonna need something to wash that thing down. Why not add some caffeine to all that sugar? Then, we'll drive over to Duck Donuts for another made-to-order donut, fresh off their magic donut assembly-line machine. You'll THINK you're full, but you better be WRONG. Hiding in the same shopping center, our final stop holds one more donut creation. It's half weird, half delicious, and half of the rest of your Saturday will probably need to be spent sleeping this one off. Dates to be discussed with the winner. Starting bid $75.

Hands on House with Mrs. Halter - Two students to Hands on House in Lancaster, PA. Picnic lunch will be included. Dates to be discussed with the winner. Starting bid $20.

Book Barn Trip with Mr and Mrs Mountz - 2 students - A five-story barn of stone walls and cozy nooks and a wood-burning stove and decades of antique, vintage, and used books welcomes you to curl up and read or just browse the shelves upon shelves of volumes. This is Baldwin's Book Bar. Mr. and Mrs. Mountz will join you on an epic visit to this magical Pennsylvania landmark. Readers and lovers of books rejoice; this is the adventure of a lifetime. Dates to be discussed with the winner. Starting bid $25.
