Make sure your grandparents save the date! November 21st, a half-day of school, is our annual Grandparents Day.
The day kicks off with a breakfast for students and grandparents to share, continues with activities for grandparents to share with their grand-kids, and ends with an all-school chapel event. Parents are welcome to attend the chapel as well. This is a half-day of school, so if grandparents and students want to spend the afternoon together, it's a great opportunity for them to go out for lunch after dismissal.
We need lots of volunteers to help provide breakfast, so if you can help, sign up here.
Grandparents will be receiving invitations in the mail, so if the grandparents in your family have moved, or if you're a new family to BCS this year, please email Miss. Klase firstname.lastname@example.org with the appropriate addresses.

It's time to think about Christmas already! As you put your holiday schedule together, you should first remember that there are two Christmas concerts this year: one at BCS and one at West-Mont, our partner school in the fine arts.
BCS Concert: Tuesday, December 11
All elementary students, along with secondary band and all middle and high school choir students must attend.
Details for the Tuesday, December 11 concert at BCS
Instructions for Elementary:
Please wear dressy Christmas clothes and arrive by 6:30 pm. Students in grades K through 3, report to your classroom. Students in grades 4 and 5, report to the library. After their performance, elementary students will sit with parents for the remainder of the concert.
Instructions for Middle and High School Performers:
Middle School and High School Choirs: Report at 6:30 pm to the cafeteria
Middle School and High School Bands: Report at 6:15 pm to the sanctuary
WCA Concert: Friday, December 14
Secondary band and high school choir students.
Dress Code for both concerts
Elementary students please wear dressy Christmas clothes.
Middle School / High School Gentlemen dress code (band and choir): Black dress pants, black dress shoes, black socks, long-sleeve white dress shirt, tie (solid color or small print)
Middle School / High School Ladies dress code (band and choir): Solid white dress blouse (no sweaters or anything low cut), solid black skirt (knee length or longer, full length is preferred), black dress shoes, neutral colored nylons
Please note: MS / HS Choir and Band are performance-based classes and performances should be considered akin to a final exam. For this reason, attendance at the concerts is mandatory. Unexcused absences will result in a significant drop in the grade. Any planned absences must be in writing and submitted to the BCS office before the concerts.
