HOST FAMILIES NEEDED
We would love for you to prayerfully consider whether or not you could help in one of these ways (or might know someone who could).
1) We are looking for host families who might be interested in hosting a student for the 18/19 school year as we prepare for next year. Host families are given a monthly stipend to cover general costs of housing a student. The main requirements for hosting are being a Christian family, providing a bedroom with bed/desk/closet/dresser, and making sure the student gets 3 meals a day. During this time of year, applications for next school year are beginning to come in, so although we do not yet know the final count of homes that are needed, we're trying to be proactive in lining up the needed host families ahead of time!
2) From time to time it is helpful to have families willing to serve as "back-up" host families (for example if a host family has a multi-day trip planned or an emergency takes place within the family). We are working on compiling a list of families interested in serving in this way.
If you have any questions about hosting or would like more information, please contact Carrie Warner at email@example.com. Please pass this info along to anyone else you know who might be able to serve in any of these ways. Thanks so much for your consideration.
Bus Driver Needed

During the school year the driver needs to have some flexibility in their schedule to drive for the occasional field trip during the day and our athletic away games that range from mid-afternoon through the evening. If you are interested in getting more information please email Rebekah Klase firstname.lastname@example.org.

Welcome New Staff!
We are so thankful that the Lord has brought three new staff members to BCS for this school year!
Mrs. Elyana Shirk will be our English Language Arts teacher. She comes with a background of teaching at both the preschool and secondary level. We are excited about her love for literature and writing.
Mr. Adam Sauer will be our Social Studies teacher. He is new to the teaching field as he has been working at The Vanguard Group since graduating from college. We are exciting to have him share his love of history with the students.
Miss Emily Cirullo will be our Middle School Core Content Teacher which will also include computer classes so that Mr. Smither can devote more of his time to being the Athletic Director. Emily comes to us having taught a variety of classes at her former school. We are excited to have her energy and flexibility to teach multiple grades.
Lunch & Recess Parents Needed for 2018-2019
Our elementary lunch periods depend on parent volunteers. Teachers get a break over lunchtime, sometimes their only break of the day! To supervise lunch periods, we rely on parents who wipe down the tables before lunch begins, serve food, help students clean up, and then supervise the afternoon recess.
If you have free time in your week, will you consider being a Lunch/Recess Parent this year? Current clearances are required, and we are happy to help you acquire them. If you have a child younger than school age, you are welcome to bring him or her along. Commitment can be once a week, or more often! We need at least two parents per day, so pick a friend and sign up together! If you are interested please email Rebekah Klase at email@example.com.
PARENT FEEDBACK FORM
This week we are launching a new parent feedback form. This form will be linked in every issue of the beat, is on the parent/student website, and linked in renweb. We always want to hear from our parents: suggestions for improvement, requesting information, looking for help, solving a problem, or sharing positive feedback. While you can always simply email or pick up the phone, our hope is that this form is a simple tool and constant reminder that we want to hear from you!
