Celebrate BCS Night: Coming Soon!
All families & staff are invited to join us for our 8th Annual Celebrate BCS on Tuesday, May 23rd. This is a time to enjoy a dinner together as a school family and then celebrate the achievements of our students from the entire year. If you want to come only for the awards ceremony, that will begin at 7:15pm.
The dinner will begin at 6pm. Please RSVP (by emailing email@example.com) by Thursday, May 18th with how many members of your family will be attending. We ask that each family bring a main dish to share. Also bring a side dish (if your last name starts with A-M) or a dessert (if your last name starts with N-Z).

News and Updates
BCS Middle Schoolers on the News!
Our sixth through eighth graders took a field trip last week to the Reading Public Museum. The trip was a gift from the museum, in memory of local photographer David Zerbe who was a friend of both Berks Christian School and the Reading Public Museum. Our students made the news with their visit! Check out the article on the WFMZ website here.

Hallways of Hope Scholarship
It's our third year offering the unique Hallways of Hope Scholarship Program and we're excited about making it possible for some new families to join our BCS community. The scholarship is for newly enrolling families who are suggested by a current member of the BCS community. Contact the office for literature you can use to share with friends about this scholarship.
Refer a Friend
Don't forget about our referral discounts! Do you have a friend who's still on the fence about their family's schooling decision for next year? Please invite him or her to contact the school office for an educational consultation. If you refer a friend, neighbor, coworker, or anyone else you know, and they enroll, you will get a discount on your tuition, and so will the new family. Refer-a-Friend post cards are available in the school office. Give one to someone you know!
A BCS parent with connections to GlaxoSmithKline would like to share some amazing apprenticeship opportunities with the BCS family. For students interested in pairing college education with hands-on work, these apprenticeships are invaluable! GSK will even pay for the education of the apprentice. Applications are accepted through May 26th. Check out this website for more details.
Jump In and Join Us
Several of our students have organized a food drive to benefit Hope Rescue Mission. The students say, "Our group wants to help homeless men who are in need of food. Food is a blessing from God that we can take for granted. We are choosing to work with Hope Rescue Mission because they truly are a God centered organization, with a God centered vision! We are called by Jesus to serve others. We should love, care, help, give, and serve others just as Jesus Christ did for all of us."
Bins to drop off food donations will be located in the main lobby as well as in the gymnasium from April 28th through May 18th. All donations will be donated to Hope Rescue Mission. Ideas of food items to donate: Canned food items, canned fruit, canned chicken, canned vegetables, soups, pastas, rice, apple sauce, chicken, beef, and vegetable broths. Money donations will be accepted as well. Every little bit helps!
