Grandparents Day

Grandparents-Day.jpg

We are very excited for Grandparents Day on Wednesday, November 22nd! This is a day just for grandparents so we ask that parents not come in place of a grandparent. If a grandparent cannot attend you are welcome to have Miss Klase send an invitation to a special older friend for your student.

We could really use some help setting up and cleaning up the refreshments! We also still are in need of baked goods and fruit to be sent in for the grandparents and students to enjoy! Please sign up here.

Poinsettias for Sale

poinsettia-sale.jpg

Poinsettias are for sale to benefit the Senior Class. Order forms were sent home this past week. Ask your friends and neighbors if they'd like to order their Christmas poinsettias from BCS to support the senior class! Lots of colors are available. Remember that the class who sells the most plants will win an ice cream party! Make sure you order by November 21st.

December Uniform Order

Need some more polo shirts or a BCS hoodie to get you through the winter? Several items have been updated with our new athletic logo. We will be placing an order with our clothing supplier in December. Order forms will be sent home tomorrow and will be due back on November 30th. Don't miss this last chance of 2017 to order your BCS uniforms and spirit wear!

Christmas Concert 2017

It's time to think about Christmas already! As you put your holiday schedule together, you should first remember that there are two Christmas concerts this year: one at BCS and one at West-Mont, our partner school in the fine arts.

BCS Concert: Tuesday, December 12 - All elementary students, along with secondary band and choir students

WCA Concert: Friday, December 15 - Secondary band and choir students (transportation will be provided to and from West-Mont for the concert; please look for the permission slip). Dress code is the same for both concerts.

Details for the Tuesday, December 12 concert at BCS

Instructions for Elementary:
Please wear dressy Christmas clothes and arrive by 6:30 pm. Students in grades K through 3, report to your classroom. Students in grades 4 and 5, report to the library. After their performance, elementary students will sit with parents for the remainder of the concert.

Instructions for Middle and High School Performers:
Middle School and High School Choirs: Report at 6:30 pm to the cafeteria
Middle School and High School Bands: Report at 6:15 pm to the sanctuary
Middle School / High School Gentlemen dress code (band and choir): Black dress pants, black dress shoes, black socks, long-sleeve white dress shirt, tie (solid color or small print)
Middle School / High School Ladies dress code (band and choir): Solid white dress blouse (no sweaters or anything low cut), solid black skirt (knee length or longer, full length is preferred), black dress shoes, neutral colored nylons

Please note: MS / HS Choir and Band are performance-based classes and performances should be considered akin to a final exam. For this reason, attendance at the concerts is mandatory. Unexcused absences will result in a significant drop in the grade. Any planned absences must be in writing and submitted to the BCS office before the concerts.
