August 11th: Ready, Set, Go! PreK and Kindergarten Parent Info Session
August 24th: First Day of School (half-day; 11:30 dismissal)
August 25th: Back to School Night (6:30 pm)
Ready, Set, Go!
It's crunch time for back to school decisions. Do you have a friend who's still on the fence? Please invite him or her to our Ready, Set, Go event this Thursday evening. We'll be highlighting the importance of early childhood education and discussing how to set your child up for success in school from a young age.
Back to School Night: August 25th
School starts on August 24th, but be sure to keep the evening of August 25th open on your calendar for our annual Back to School Night. This special event for families starts at 6:30 and will start with a presentation from our Administrator after which you'll have a chance to meet teachers, check out classrooms, and hear about the exciting year ahead.
News and Updates
Farewell to Donna Hussmann
After over 30 years of committed work to Berks Christian School and Exeter Bible Church, Donna Hussmann, our bookkeeper, decided this summer to take a job elsewhere. We will miss her at BCS, but we are excited with her about the new position. If you need assistance with billing or have other financial questions, please call the school office and speak with administration.
Uniforms and Spirit Wear
If you ordered spirit wear or polo shirts via our summer order, keep watching your email for news that they've arrived. We have requested delivery by August 22nd, so we're hoping you'll have them in time for the first day of school. When they arrive, items can be picked up at the school office.
As we work to streamline communication with you, our families, we are moving to online payment systems. Using Renweb, you'll be able to pay field trips costs, After School Zone bills, lunch fees, library fines, and more. Be on the lookout for more details, and expect to hear more about this exciting advancement at Back to School Night.

We Need You!
If you have available afternoons, we need your help! Each day at lunchtime we use the help of parent volunteers to serve lunch and to supervise elementary recess. We are in need of additional parents this year, and we would love to add you to our list. If you have a child younger than school-age who is at home with you during the day, you are welcome to bring the child along. Volunteers must submit current Child Abuse and Criminal Background clearances to the school office. Because we have a few different lunch periods, we are offering a few options for volunteers:
1. 10:55am-12:40pm (Set-up, both lunches, recess, clean-up)
2. 10:55-12:05pm (Set-up, K-2 lunch, recess)
3. 11:35-12:40pm (Recess, 3-5 lunch, clean-up)
If you are able to help with this important volunteer work, please contact Rebekah Klase at email@example.com. For more ways to volunteer, please check out the Volunteering page on our website.
