Progress Toward Our Goal
We're more than halfway toward our goal of sending out 3,000 sponsorship letters. So far 2,186 letters have been collected and mailed. Just 814 left to go toward our total goal! Our next goal is to hit 2,200 letters to earn ice cream for the whole school.
Please contact Mrs Bromwell if you need more letters! And don't forget that you can submit sponsorship requests via email by using this auto-email webpage we've set up. There is plenty of time to be in the running for our three big prizes, awarded to the three families who submit the most letters. Prizes are $300 for first place, $200 for second place, and $100 for third place. You must submit at least 50 letters in order to be eligible for these prizes.

Parent Volunteer Wanted!
We need a MIDDLE SCHOOL parent to help on April 27th at the MACSA Middle School meet at Messiah College. This is an all-day event. Volunteering would involve running a field event, but don't be intimidated! No previous track experience is required; this is an easy job. If you are willing to help out, please contact Kody Godsey by emailing email@example.com.
Boost the Boosters
Berks Christian Athletic Boosters is partnering with the Exeter Youth Soccer Association for the upcoming spring soccer season (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from mid-April through June). Exeter Youth Soccer Association uses the BCS field for these events and boosters will be selling concessions here at BCS during all youth soccer events. We are looking for an individual who would be willing to head up concession sales at these events. We will also need plenty of additional volunteers to help out. All proceeds will go towards the Athletic Program. Please contact Athletic Director Kody Godsey (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are willing to lead in this area.
7th-12th Grade Girls Volleyball Open Gym
We will be having our first volleyball open gym of the season tomorrow Friday, April 21st from 4:30 - 6:00 pm. Even if you haven't played volleyball but are interested for next year feel free to come. Please email Miss Klase (email@example.com) if you plan to come. If you are not on the track team you may stay after school to work on homework until the open gym starts.
National Honor Society Induction
On April 25th, we'll be inducting five new members in the Berks Christian School chapter of National Honor Society. Please join us for this special evening. The ceremony will take place in the BCS Auditorium at 7:00 pm.
Still Need Service Hours?
A great community event might help you check off those service hour requirements! Take a look at this website about the Great American Cleanup, which is taking place in Reading this weekend!
PMEA Elementary Band & Orchestra Fest: April 28
Representing BCS in the PMEA Elementary Band and Orchestra Festival is our fifth grader, Nate, playing Alto Saxophone. This event is held in Kutztown and showcases the instrumental talents of the best students from schools in a three county area. A guest conductor works with the students for several hours on music they have practiced before hand. A string orchestra and a band concert are performed that evening. Contact Mr Rappoldt (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you'd like more details.

Hallways of Hope Scholarship
It's our third year offering the unique Hallways of Hope Scholarship Program and we're excited about making it possible for some new families to join our BCS community. The scholarship is for newly enrolling families who are suggested by a current member of the BCS community. Contact the office for literature you can use to share with friends about this scholarship.
Refer a Friend
Don't forget about our referral discounts! Do you have a friend who's still on the fence about their family's schooling decision for next year? Please invite him or her to contact the school office for an educational consultation. If you refer a friend, neighbor, coworker, or anyone else you know, and they enroll, you will get a discount on your tuition, and so will the new family. Refer-a-Friend post cards are available in the school office. Give one to someone you know!

Interested in Financial Aid for 17/18 School Year?
Remember that all returning families (that's you!) who are interested in financial aid must apply for aid by April 30th (that's TEN days away!). You can apply for aid here. Families who applied will receive initial aid letters by May 10th.
Volunteers Needed for Data Entry
We need a volunteer or two to help with some data entry and data maintenance for our new donor database. This database will help us track and manage our partners better, but the initial set-up will be time-consuming and we'd love some willing hands to help out. It's not glamorous, but it would be very helpful and can be done remotely from your home. Interested people should contact Mr Warner by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
